A spokesperson for the trustees said in a statement that Diddy is “no longer worthy” of the honor, specifically citing the horrific video of him brutally abusing then-girlfriend Cassie Ventura that resurfaced last month as the reason: Mr. Combs’ behavior as captured in a recently released video is so fundamentally incompatible with Howard University’s core values and beliefs that he is deemed no longer worthy to hold the institution’s highest honor.
