Howard Stern Does First Guest DJ Takeover of SiriusXM Lithium Channel, Spins STP, Hendrix, Rolling Stones and Public Enemy
Howard Stern sits in for a Guest DJ takeover of SiriusXM's Lithium Channel at 11 a.m. ET on Wednesday (June 12), spinning STP, Hendrix and the Stones.
Wednesday's (June 12) sit-in was part of the broadcaster's new Guest DJ campaign that will include similar sets from Kate Hudson, Kevin Hart, Conan O'Brien, Rob Lowe and more. In a perfect example of a song-ruining talk-up, Stern describes how much he thinks about late Stone Temple Pilots singer Scott Weiland while playing the band’s 1994 hit “Vasoline,” saying, “what a charismatic dude. The Guest DJ campaign will feature more than 70 other entertainers doing take-overs, including: James Corden, Kate Hudson, Kevin Hart, Busy Philipps, Rob Lowe, Conan O’Brien, Andy Cohen, Gayle King, NFL player Maxx Crosby, NASCAR’s Chase Elliot and more.
