The 2024 Paris Olympics gets underway in earnest with the Opening Ceremony on Friday, July 26, with coverage beginning at noon p.m. ET/9 a.m. PT. The more than 10,500 athletes from 206 countries will embark on the annual Parade of Nations via almost 100 boats down the Seine River, which cuts through the center of Paris. Organizers said 80 giant screens and speakers will be set up around the city to allow residents and visitors to watch along with the hundreds of spectators expected to line the river and its bridges.
