President Joe Biden will sit down for an interview with NBC News anchor Lester Holt on Monday night in an effort to reignite support for his campaign amid doubts about his abilities to lead. Biden’s interview was initially supposed to take place in Austin, Texas, but was relocated to the White House after Saturday’s assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump at a Pennsylvania campaign rally. The would-be assassin, identified by the FBI as 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks, left Trump with a bloody right ear before the Secret Service escorted him away.
