This will be Biden’s first television interview since his shaky debate performance, which sent his campaign into a tailspin and set off a media firestorm about whether he should step down. Following last week’s debate, some of Biden’s top Hollywood donors threatened to rescind their financial support if the 46th president did not bow out of the race. On Wednesday, Netflix co-founder and executive chairman Reed Hastings echoed this sentiment in an email sent to the New York Times, writing “Biden needs to step aside to allow a vigorous Democratic leader to beat Trump and keep us safe and prosperous.”
