Gavin and Stacey officially drew to a close on Wednesday evening after the BBC aired a special final documentary for the much loved sitcom.
The finale episode raked in a whopping 12.5 million viewers and was the most watched show on Christmas Day with fans tuning in to find out the end to Nessa and Smithy's love story. Set in the Rhondda Valleys in the fictional Welsh town of Pontyberry, comedy drama Stella also stars Ruth Jones as she plays the titular character who is struggling as a mother of three. Dave was known for being engaged to writer and actor Ruth Jones's character Nessa - and Steffan even cast doubt on the show's finale when he was spotted filming for the special earlier in the year.
