How the Gaudreaus Spent 1st Christmas Since Deaths of Johnny and Matthew
The extended Gaudreau family celebrated their first holiday season since brothers Johnny and Matthew were killed by a drunk driver in August
“John is happy mom and dad stopped to give the babies and Mer some lovin,” Katie, 26, shared via Instagram Story on Wednesday, December 25. On August 29, the day before Katie was supposed to get married, Johnny and Mathew were struck and killed by a drunk driver, Sean M. Higgins, while riding bicycles together in Oldmans Township, New Jersey. A ceremonial puck drop was held, which featured on-ice appearances from Guy, Jane, Katie, Meredith, Noa and baby Johnny.
