Soleil Moon Frye exclusively told Us Weekly how her experience as a child star shaped her work on 'The Carters Hurts to Love You'

During an exclusive interview with Us Weekly, Frye, 48, reflected on how her days as a child star influenced her work behind the camera, saying, “I was so fortunate growing up that I really loved being on set. Investigation Discovery made headlines in 2024 when directors Mary Robertson and Emma Schwartz explored Nickelodeon’s past toxic work environment in Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV. While the series focuses on the plights of one singular family, Frye wanted to use the two-part documentary to pull back the curtain on a larger conversation surrounding mental health and addiction.
