How much do soap stars earn – eye-watering salaries for actors from Emmerdale, Corrie and EastEnders


Soap stars are reportedly some of the highest paid names on television with very famous characters from EastEnders, Coronation Street and Emmerdale raking in the millions

After previously taking a break from EastEnders to focus on other projects in 2011, the dad-of-three landed a huge gig as Captain Hook in the Peter Pan panto at The Swan Theatre in London and made around £200,000 for a few weeks of work over the festive season. Other notable mentions on Coronation Street include Michael Le Vell who earns £170,000 per year to play Kevin Webster and Simon Gregson, who takes home £150,000 for his role as Steve McDonald. Chris Chittell is the longest serving cast member on the ITV soap (Image: PA)The 75-year-old is worth around £7m and earns £200,000 a year for his role as Eric Pollard whom he has played since 1986.
