Liam Payne's fans have recalled a wild story from his visit to Australia after news emerged of his sudden death on Wednesday evening.
During a visit to Australia in 2013, a fan broke into the private house Liam was staying at with his bandmates Niall Horin, Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson and Harry Styles and made off with a pair of his underwear. A witness told the Daily Telegraph at the time, she watched six girls and an eight-year-old boy jump over a door to get into Payne's Palm Beach apartment. Despite the adoration, the band ultimately finished in third place on the X Factor but shortly afterwards Cowell sealed their fate by signing the fivesome to a reported £2million Syco contract.
