Us Weekly confirmed in August that Johnny and his younger brother, Matthew Gaudreau, were struck by a vehicle and killed while they were riding bikes in Oldmans Township, New Jersey. “It’s been really hard watching hockey start up and seeing how different my life is now,” Meredith wrote via Instagram on Friday, September 20, alongside an old video interview featuring Johnny.
