How Jason Isaacs Referenced Duke University at ‘White Lotus’ Finale Party
‘White Lotus’ star Jason Isaacs gave a nod to his character’s affinity for Duke University after the school pushed back against the show’s representation
To celebrate his character’s diehard love for his alma mater, Duke University, Isaacs showed up to the festivities wearing a T-shirt emblazoned with the school’s Blue Devil mascot under his suit jacket. “But characters prominently wearing apparel bearing Duke’s federally registered trademarks creates confusion and mistakenly suggests an endorsement or affiliation where none exists.” Given the fact that Isaacs’ character placed a firearm to his head while wearing the Duke T-shirt, the university attempted to draw attention to mental health resources.
