Everyone went to the Vanity Fair party - and had such a good time they were also perfectly happy to ignore the 3.9 magnitude earthquake which hit LA at 10.13pm.
Demi had been a favorite to win an Oscar for her performance in the body-horror The Substance but although the movie did pick up an award for hair and makeup, she lost out to Mikey Madison of Anora in the best actress category. Monica Lewinsky, the intern who nearly brought down Bill Clinton, looked impossibly slender and glossy at Vanity Fair, alongside Kim Kardashian in a strapless cream Balenciaga dress and Olivia Wilde, the actress, director and ex girlfriend of Harry Styles, who was wearing a diaphanous slip and big knickers. The Netflix party, smaller than Vanity Fair and less corporate in feel, attracted guests who wanted to linger for hours over Martinis and sushi, cake pops and cinnamon cookies.
