How Conan O'Brien REALLY felt about Matthew Perry filming Friends with his then girlfriend Lisa Kudrow
Conan, 61, and Lisa, 60, were in a relationship from 1988 until 1993, and were together when the Friends star filmed season one of the hit TV sitcom alongside Perry, who played the role of Chandler Bing.
Recalling her early days of filming, O'Brien said to Kudrow: 'You started doing that show and you called me up and you were raving about...,' as she finished his sentence and blurted out: 'Matthew!' The actress also briefly touched on Perry's personal struggles amidst the rising popularity of Friends and said: 'Everyone was so excited and I think for some people, and he was definitely one of them, it's, "oh my God, this will be really good, everything will be fixed now," and that's not how it goes.' Perry, who battled substance abuse for decades, sadly passed away at the age of 54 on October 28 last year after accidentally drowning in his jacuzzi in Los Angeles.
