How Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick Are Handling 'A Simple Favor 2' Backlash
Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick are disappointed by the hate shown online toward ‘A Simple Favor 2,’ a source tells Us Weekly exclusively
“It disappoints [Lively and Kendrick] to see all the hate online after the movie poster release,” the same insider says before sharing that they plan to “be doing press together.” Both actresses — who starred in 2018’s A Simple Favor — “want fans to focus on the film and not any outside drama,” the source adds. Lively’s legal battle against Baldoni, 41, started in December 2024 after she filed a complaint against the actor and his Wayfarer Studios production company accusing him of sexual harassment, developing a smear campaign and creating a hostile work environment. Lively’s legal team called his lawsuit “desperate” in a statement to Us last month and has since sent subpoenas to AT&T, Verizon and T-Mobile, requesting records for Baldoni, It Ends With Us producer Jamey Heath and Wayfarer Studios cofounder Steve Sarowitz.
