How Billy Joel Will Make History on His Summer Tour
During his 2025 tour, Billy Joel will play all three New York City-area sports stadiums, making him the first artist to ever play them in one summer.
“I’m looking forward to playing these iconic stadiums this summer – each holds personal significance to me,” Joel tells Billboard. “There’s nothing like the energy of the crowds in New York, and sharing a stage with my friends, Rod Stewart, Sting and Stevie Nicks, whose music always inspires me, is extremely rewarding.” The feat is all the more remarkable in that it comes on top of ending his 10-year residency at New York’s Madison Square Garden last July after playing the vaunted venue once a month for 10 years.
