How Angelina Jolie's Daughter Vivienne, 15, Inspired Her to Produce Broadway's The Outsiders
Angelina Jolie explained that her daughter Vivienne, 15, is 'very thoughtful and serious about theatre and working hard to best understand how to contribute' as a volunteer assistant on the new Broadway adaptation of 'The Outsiders.' Jolie is a lead producer on the production.
Jolie and Vivienne were seen at a preview performance of The Outsiders in New York City on April 3, at which the mother-daughter duo posed for photos with the musical's casts and crew, as well as Matt Dillon, who starred in the 1983 movie version. PEOPLE previously reported that the pair also met with the book's author Hinton, who famously wrote The Outsiders as a high school student in the 1960s. "I can’t begin to express how excited I am for this musical to make its Broadway debut and look forward to sharing this new adaptation of The Outsiders with the world," Jolie said at the time.
