It's been hosted by Martin Roberts for decades – but there's a quirky habit viewers have started picking up on recently. Martin has a rather distinctive way of congratulating couples on their purchases, referring to the property as a "place" with an accompanying hand gesture that looks like he's tinkling the keys of a piano. Before landing his famous Homes Under The Hammer role, he worked as a reporter and presenter for a number of TV and radio stations.
