Homes Under the Hammer presenter Martel Maxwell has recalled an embarrassing on-air blunder whilst she was suffering from the menopause, that at the time was undiagnosed
The TV presenter noticed something was "terribly wrong" when she began misplacing things at home and experiencing tension with her husband Jamie Parrat. In her column for The Courier, she shared: "I'd been filming Homes Under The Hammer when, during a piece to camera, as I was describing the swirly oranges and browns of dated decor, I had to stop mid-way because I couldn't remember the word for carpet." Homes Under the Hammer Martel has luckily now been diagnosed and is undergoing treatmentShe also extended some encouraging words for other women experiencing or approaching perimenopause, warmly reassuring: "I'm here to tell you it's ok. You'll get out the other side and be stronger yet softer for it."
