X/@JDVance Federal officials have distanced and increased the tension with California by placing the Arizona governor on the “side of foreign criminals,” in the backdrop of a continuing dispute over immigration enforcement. The DHS issued a fiery post on social media, bashing leadership in California and questioning why they are unwilling to cooperate with federal law enforcement in protecting the American citizens. The actual fireworks were instead in the textual portion wherein DHS directly challenged California’s political leadership on the increasingly contentious immigration policies that have often put the state at odds with federal authorities.
