However, fans have pointed out that in the second film, Kevin only hints at being left home alone, without referencing the dramatic events that unfolded. Fans think they've uncovered a 'clue' in the second movieA Reddit user noted: "All throughout the second film, his family only ever describes him as being left alone during Christmas-never once do they refer to the fact that he fought off two thieves while he was home alone.
