As Southern California struggles through a record-setting heatwave, a performance by Australian singer-songwriter Vance Joy at Hollywood Bowl was canceled on Sunday (Sept. 8) due to a heat-related power outage. 09/09/2024 Shortly before the performance was set to begin on Sunday, the venue announced on social media that “due to a power outage at the Hollywood Bowl, tonight’s concert is canceled.” The announcement continued that if the show is rescheduled, tickets for the original performance date will be honored. The month after, 50 Cent canceled a show at Phoenix’s Talking Stick Amphitheatre on a 116-degree day.
