Hollywood Bowl Cancels Sunday Concert As Heat Wave Causes L.A. Power Outages
The Hollywood Bowl was forced to cancel Sunday's Vance Joy concert after a power outage impacted 1,400 LA DWP households in the Hollywood area.
LA DWP reps told Deadline that there has been a “circuit outage” in the Hollywood area, meaning repair times will be longer. They gave no timeline for power to be restored, but the utility’s outage map said repairs were expected to be completed by Tuesday. The LA DWP tweeted that as of 3 p.m., it was working to restore power to more than 6,600 customers in L.A. County, with Echo Park and Northridge the most impacted areas.
