Hollyoaks legend teases new character's 'traumatic' past as he makes huge return

Jeremy Sheffield has opened up about the dark and traumatic past of his character Jeremy Blake after making a dramatic comeback to the soap. The actor, 58, made an unexpected return to Hollyoaks eight years after his character Patrick Blake was killed off, this time as Patrick's doppelganger brother Jez.

Delving into his character's troubled history, Jeremy shared some chilling details with Inside Soap magazine: "A huge event blew the brothers apart and Jez disappeared - whatever went on was so traumatic he just had to escape. The arrival of Jez in Chester has certainly shocked his niece Sienna, who initially believed her villainous father had returned from the grave, only to discover the truth about Patrick's secret twin. Hollyoaks producer Hannah Cheers assured fans that further secrets from the notoriously troubled Blake family will unravel with the arrival of Jez and Martha.
