Holby City actress Laura Sadler died following a 40ft fall from a balcony, but still appeared in the show after her death in pre-recorded episodes before exit storyline was revealed
Millions of soap fans watched the final TV appearance of tragic Holby City actress Laura Sadler after her death in pre-recorded episodes of the show. The star, who played staff nurse Sandy Harper for three years, from 2000, died in June 2003 following a 40ft fall from a balcony at the west London home of her boyfriend, George Calil. At the time, a spokesman at Charing Cross Hospital in west London confirmed: "We regret to announce the death of Laura Sadler, who died peacefully at 5.30pm on 19 June.
