Hoda, 59, revealed last month that she had been on her first date in two years since splitting from her former fiancé Joel Schiffman, but stressed that she doesn't use dating apps.
The confusion arose after Hoda mentioned the man, Eddie, during a conversation about baseball, leading some fans to assume she was referring to a romantic partner. Hoda, who was being honored at the New York City event alongside entrepreneur Maria Dueñas Jacobs, also admitted that she didn't feel nervous going on her two dates. The TV star and her personal driver were grinning from ear-to-ear in the sweet snap as they stood on the sidewalk together, and Hoda simply captioned it: 'This is my Eddie!'
