Hoda Kotb exclusively opened up to PEOPLE about how she and her daughters Haley, 8, and Hope, 5, reacted when they saw their PEOPLE cover this week, sharing that she 'almost wept' and her girls were 'crying.' 'It was a perfect moment,' she said.
As the former Today show anchor embarks on her newest venture, she also opened up about the inspiration that went into crafting Joy 101 at its launch, which was held at Current at Chelsea Piers in New York City. Al Roker, Hoda Kotb, Craig Melvin, Jenna Bush Hager, Savannah Guthrie, Dylan Dreyer and Gayle King at the Joy 101 launch event. Ahead of the launch event, Kotb shared a post on her Instagram of the handwritten signs her daughters had left for her around the house in honor of Joy 101 on Wednesday.
