Hoda Kotb Makes Surprise Appearance on ‘Today’ Nearly 2 Months After Departure: ‘Are You in My City?’
Hoda Kotb made a surprise appearance on Today via video during a segment about New Orleans nearly two months after she decided to leave the talk show.
In the show’s third hour, a segment kicked off with Craig Melvin, Al Roker and Dylan Dreyer reporting in New Orleans, where they discussed Mardi Gras and indulged in some fun festivities around town. “It was within walking distance of some of the world’s greatest coffeehouses, a stone’s throw from the Mississippi River, and so perfectly located that we’d hear live music out our window every now and then. “It was a huge pivot,” Hoda’s good friend, jewelry designer Jennifer Miller, told USA Today in an interview on Thursday, February 27.
