Hiroyuki Sanada Urges Young Actors & Creators To “Never Give Up” As He Accepts Golden Globe For ‘Shōgun’
Hiroyuki Sanada has a heartfelt message for young actors as he wins Golden Globe for 'Shōgun' - watch his acceptance speech.
In his speech, Sanada thanked FX, Disney, Hulu as well as the cast and crew of Shōgun “for sharing this amazing journey.” He also acknowledged “everyone who has been in my life, all of you have brought me here.” In the epic drama series based on James Clavell’s 1975 novel, veteran Sanada stars as Lord Toranaga, the ultimate strategist, whose intricate web ultimately served to unify 17th century Japan. In addition to acting, Sanada also serves as a producer on Shōgun, which was renewed for a second season after breaking ratings records for FX and Hulu.
