EvanTube star Evan Lee’s family made $1M-$2M annually during their YouTube fame, with brand deals and social media ads boosting their fortune

According to a report published by The New York Times on Sunday, April 27, early YouTube creators could earn money via a portion of the revenue made from ads that ran next to the videos or via brand deals and sponsorships. Evan shared that he eventually “realized there is no way we would have made that much money unless my parents were involved.” He added, “An 8-year-old, 10-year-old, does not have the mind to keep a successful YouTube channel, generate that profit, work with brands. Evan ultimately pressed pause on EvanTube at the end of his high school career in June 2024, before he pursued college at the Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles.
