Hollywood actor Mark Ruffalo has called on “every film maker and academy member” to unite in protest as he branded what has happened to Hamdan Ballal an “attack” on filmmaking.

My use of ‘lynched’ was a mistranslation from Hebrew (English isn’t my first language). On Tuesday afternoon, Abraham reported that Ballal has been freed, tweeting: "After being handcuffed all night and beaten in a military base, Hamdan Ballal is now free and is about to go home to his family."
