Henry Cavill Jokes ‘I Don’t Have Much Luck With Post-Credit Scenes’ After His Superman Return in ‘Black Adam’ Didn’t Pan Out: ‘I May Give Up on Those’

Henry Cavill says "I don't have much luck with post-credit scenes."

Cavill is likely referring to how “King Arthur” did not get a sequel because it flopped at the box, and then a debacle ensued years later when he showed up as Superman in the post-credits scene of the 2022 comic book tentpole “Black Adam,” headlined by Dwayne Johnson. Two days later, Cavill spoke publicly for the first time about his Superman return during a live recording of the “Happy Sad Confused” podcast at 92NY in New York City. It was an especially tough blow for Cavill, who had exited his starring role on Netflix’s “The Witcher” presumably because his future appeared to include more Superman projects prior to Gunn and Safran’s hiring.
