Helen George used Strictly Come Dancing as ‘therapy’ after ‘awful’ divorce – ‘It’s an emotional journey’

Call the Midwife star Helen George once opened up about her divorce, and how taking part in Strictly was 'therapy' of sorts for her.

Helen, 40, split from ex-husband Oliver Boot in 2015 before taking part in Strictly later that year. During an interview with The Times in November 2023, Helen opened up about how going on Strictly helped her with her divorce. Helen was quick to reply, writing: “My best friends Ryan and Oliver who are married to each other.”
