Sheryl Crow ‘s new LP Evolution arrives March 29, and she’s just shared a cover of Peter Gabriel ‘s 1992 classic “Digging in the Dirt,” which will appear on the deluxe edition. The idea of self-examination to understand our wounds and flaws and how they affect our daily lives really resonated with me, because that process can lead to self-healing. “I started sending just a couple of demos to Mike, but the songs just kept flowing out of me and it was pretty obvious this was going to be an album…I said I’d never make another record, thought there was no point to it.
