Hear Rihanna Voice Smurfette, Cover Belinda Carlisle in New ‘Smurfs’ Trailer
Rihanna will voice Smurfette in the new 'Smurfs' movie, and there will be new music from the singer in the film as well.
We may not be getting a whole new Rihanna album soon, but the pop star-turned-beauty mogul will be giving us a new film and some new music when she stars as Smurfette in the new Smurfs movie, out July 18. I hope this gives me cool points with my kids one day.” She previously voiced lead character Gratuity “Tip” Tucci in Dreamworks’ 2015 animated film Home. Deadline reports that directors Chris Miller and Matt Landon oversaw a voiceover cast that also includes Nick Offerman, Natasha Lyonne, JP Karliak, Daniel Levy, Amy Sedaris, Nick Kroll, James Corden, Octavia Spencer, Hannah Waddingham, Sandra Oh, Alex Winter, Billie Lourd and Xolo Maridueña, along with Kurt Russell and John Goodman.
