HDR by Barco begins India rollout with at least 80 cinema installations planned by 2030 and the opening of a Prasad post unit.

Said Qube CEO Harsh Rohatgi, “When we experienced their latest Lightsteering technology, we realized that it would help both filmmakers to offer, and viewers to enjoy, a premium visual presentation of movies in HDR. “This venue is an ideal showcase outside the U.S. and UK for such a breakthrough format, giving Indian audiences access to a superior cinematic experience with enhanced brightness, deep black levels, and remarkable on-screen impact,” said TDI director Kamalakannan Duraikannu. Upcoming titles that are scheduled to be mastered and released in the format include Universal’s “How to Train Your Dragon” and “Jurassic World Rebirth,” and Sony’s “Karate Kid: Legends” and “28 Years Later.”
