Has ‘SNL’ Ever Apologized? The Show's History With Subtly Saying Sorry


Saturday Night Live has been known for edgy humor, but how has SNL responded with apologies when jokes crossed the line?

Saturday Night Live’s stage has played host to icons from Harry Styles to Betty White, and many of its celebrity guests have gushed over reaching the impressive career milestone. Davidson, on the other hand, referred to Crenshaw — an Iraq War veteran who wears an eyepatch — as “a congressional candidate from Texas and not a hit man in a porno movie” during a 2018 “Weekend Update” segment.
