Harvey Weinstein hospitalised with Covid and pneumonia

The 72-year-old convicted rapist was transferred to a prison hospital with multiple health complaints, four years into his 23-year sentence

Jailed Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein was moved to a New York hospital on Thursday with multiple ailments including Covid, his representatives said in a statement. Weinstein’s conviction was a milestone for the#MeToo movement, in which women accused hundreds of men in entertainment, media, politics and other fields of sexual misconduct. A jury found the Miramax film studio co-founder sexually assaulted former production assistant Miriam Haley in 2006 and raped aspiring actress Jessica Mann in 2013.
