Haruki Murakami to Celebrate New Fiction Book With Midnight Parties & Special Curated Playlist

Fans of Murakami can look forward to an interactive element to go with the new material including a specially curated playlist featuring albums and artists woven into the author’s books. Murakami Midnight Parties will be held around the U.S. at select bookstores on Monday, Nov. 18, to celebrate the release, fans will be able to participate in raffles, trivia and pickup exclusive merch while being able to listen to the specially curated playlist. Sponsors that are expected to collaborate with the midnight parties include Kettl Tea, Milk Bar (who will provide special Murakuffins inspired by the author), Brooklyn Kura and Kato Sake Works.
