Harry Potter star Oliver Phelps reveals how he ruined a couple's romantic New Year's Eve proposal in Sydney

The Harry Potter star, 38, revealed how the 'shameful' incident took place while he was on holiday in Australia with his wife Katy Humpage for New Year's Eve one year.

Oliver, who played George Weasley alongside his twin brother James, said they were watching the famous Sydney Harbour fireworks when a man started bothering him to move. 'Being stubborn I didn't want to give it up and miss out on a romantic moment, so I refused to budge, [but] eventually I moved to one side when the fireworks had finished and there was just a cloud of smoke left. Oliver and his brother James famously portrayed the loveable Weasley twins in the film series adaptations of JK Rowling's popular wizarding franchise
