Harry Potter fans in stitches after learning what Voldemort is called in other countries


Lord Voldemort, also known as Tom Marvolo Riddle, has a number of different names across the world in different translations of the Harry Potter books, and fans are in stitches after learning some of them

In the second book of the series, The Chamber of Secrets, we learn that 'I am Lord Voldemort' is an anagram of the character's birth name, Tom Marvolo Riddle. A recent Instagram post from the official Harry Potter and Wizarding World accounts revealed some of these unique translated names. In the Greek version, Lord Voldemort is known as Anton Morvol Hert, while Dutch readers know him as Marten Asmodom Vilijn, and to Slovenian fans he's Mark Neelstin.
