The Suffolk town of Woodbridge has been named the happiest place to live in the UK, thanks to its rich history, community spirit and friendly residents, according to a new survey

Boasting strong community vibes and great access to schools and medical services, this picturesque riverside town on the River Deben has out-charmed the upscale Richmond-upon-Thames in southwest London for the title, according to a study by Rightmove. Echoing these sentiments, Jamie Curran from estate agency IP Properties in Woodbridge highlighted: "The amenities the town has to offer are second to none; having boutiques, coffee shops, public houses and highly reviewed restaurants all within walking distance. The Rightmove study, now in its 13th magnificent year and encompassing the opinions of over 35,000 Brits, delves deep into residents' pride, sense of belonging, community spirit, and self-expression, along with the local amenities on offer.
