As of sundown on Wednesday (Dec. 25), Hanukkah 2024 was in full swing — bringing with it eight straight days of family, prayers, candle-lighting and, yes, music. These include Israeli-American rapper Kosha Dillz’s “Dreidel Dreidel” song and music video — filmed at the heart of New York City’s Santacon to commemorate the rare overlap of Christmas Day and the first day of Hanukkah this year — a radiant dance collaboration from DJ Farbreng, Alex Clare and Matisyahu titled “Spread Light” and a fun original from Disney Jr.’s SuperKitties. Plus, Hanukkah on Broadway tapped Julie Benko for an impassioned holiday rendition of Annie ‘s “Tomorrow,” Jewish a cappella group the Y-Studs released a Hanukkah-fied Jackson 5 medley and American-Israeli musician Nissim Black dropped Glory, an album filled with tracks that aren’t necessarily festive but will light up your Hanukkah playlists regardless.
