Hannah Waddingham admits she was branded a 'lanky freak' early in her career by casting directors who now offer the superstar roles... but she tells them to 'bog off!'

The actress, 49, first found fame in West End musicals before being catapulted to superstardom on Apple TV+ show Ted Lasso followed by a string of hit movies.

The Ted Lasso star had been nominated for her festive Apple TV+ special Hannah Waddingham: Home for Christmas, but lost out to BBC favourite Strictly Come Dancing. Hannah was praised by fans when she co-hosted the event in Liverpool last year, along with Alesha Dixon, Graham Norton and Ukranian star Julia Sanina, who was also in attendance for the ceremony. During the BAFTAs afterparty Hannah reportedly hid all night in the darkest corner of the room and did not leave her seat, while a number of A-listers – including Dame Harriet Walter – picked their way through the tables to pay her a visit.
