Hannah Berner Clarifies Her Blake Lively Joke In Netflix's 'Torching 2024: A Roast of the Year’ Was Filmed Before the Justin Baldoni News: “I Support Blake”

Comedian Hannah Berner made a punchline about Blake Lively in Netflix's 'Torching 2024: A Roast of the Year,' which debuted Dec. 27. Berner spoke out to clarify that the special was taped prior to news of Lively's legal action against Justin Baldoni.

In a statement on her Instagram Stories Friday, Dec. 27, Berner explained, "My joke in the Netflix roast was filmed before news of the [complaint]. "The emotional impact on Ms. Lively has been extreme, not only affecting her but her family, including her husband and four children," the actress' lawyers wrote in the court documents. Their It Ends With Us costar Jenny Slate spoke out in support of Lively, saying, "What has been revealed about the attack on Blake is terribly dark, disturbing and wholly threatening.
