Hands up who wants an Oscar this year! Stars are getting 'hand rejuvenation' surgery to roll back time on their wrinkly mitts

When beaming Oscar winners take the stage to seize hold of their golden statues next month, take a good look at their hands.

Celebrity dermatologist Dr Mariano Busso says the treatment, which can cost up to £5,000, has become the latest ‘go-to’ surgery ahead of an appearance on the red carpet. He adds that he has seen a sharp increase in celebrities coming into his Beverly Hills office to have softening fillers injected into the back of their hands to give them a youthful plumpness ahead of the March 10 awards. The final cost of the procedure depends on the amount of filler used to smooth the wrinkles, the type of laser used and how much time the doctor needs to spend with each patient.
