When Halsey released her emotional new song “The End” on Tuesday (June 4), she wrote on Instagram, “long story short, i’m Lucky to be alive.” One day later, the artist has revealed the details about why: They were diagnosed with Lupus and a rare T-cell disorder. Halsey kicked off her Wednesday (June 5) post with a long caption for her carousel, thanking fans for the support shown for the new track. According to the National Institutes of Health, lymphoproliferative disorders (LPD) are diseases in which there is an “uncontrolled production of lymphocytes that cause monoclonal lymphocytosis, lymphadenopathy and bone marrow infiltration,” and occur in people who have compromised immune systems.
