Halsey Cosplays David Bowie and More for ‘The Great Impersonator’ Album Trailer: Thought It’d Be ‘The Last Record I’d Ever Make’
Halsey cosplays David Bowie, Britney Spears and more in the trailer for her newly-announced concept album, 'The Great Impersonator.'
Earlier this year, Halsey released her first single of the album cycle, an emotional tune called “The End.” It was with this song that Halsey shared she was “lucky to be alive” after being diagnosed with Lupus SLE (an autoimmune disease that can affect the skin, joints, kidneys, brain and other organs, per the National Library of Medicine) and a rare T-cell lymphoproliferative disorder in 2022. As Halsey contemplates these alternate realities, clips of her in iconic apparel from these musical eras — pulling inspiration from Bowie, Spears and more — flash across the screen with songs from the album used as a soundtrack. Halsey hasn’t announced a release date yet, but their website teases that it’s coming in 2024.
