Shortly after the pop star released her new music video for “The Boy Is Mine” — in which she dresses up just like the DC Comics femme fatale — the actress shared her approval on social media Friday (June 7). Earlier this year, she paid homage to Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind for her Billboard Hot 100-topping single “We Can’t Be Friends (Wait for Your Love),” recruiting Evan Peters to be the Jim Carrey to her Kate Winslet. For “The Boy Is Mine,” she channeled Catwoman — who’s also been played on screen by Anne Hathaway, Michelle Pfeiffer and other iconic actresses in the past — while starring opposite Penn Badgley, who portrayed a devilishly handsome politician with whom Grande’s character is infatuated.
