Halle Berry Admits ‘Catwoman’ Script “Felt A Bit Soft” But She “Didn’t Love” The Backlash

Two decades later, Halle Berry is looking back at her DC solo outing in Catwoman and what went wrong with the movie.

“I always thought the idea of Catwoman saving women from a face cream felt a bit soft,” Berry told Entertainment Weekly. Directed by Pitof, Catwoman starred Berry as Patience Phillips, a graphic designer who discovers a conspiracy at the cosmetic company where she works to cover up widespread health problems caused by a new product. After being murdered by the conspirators, Patience is resurrected by an Egyptian mau cat that grants her cat-like abilities, allowing her to go up against the company owner’s wife Laurel ( Sharon Stone).
